Some Background

Founded in 2020 by Adam Farrey, Mug Ugly Games is an independent video game developer based in Wisconsin, USA. The main goal of the developer is to bring quality, full length, independent video games to gamers all around the globe.

About Adam Farrey:

I was an IT professional for many years before unfortunate, post surgery, complications took away my ability to continue working. After years of being hopeful that my condition would improve, I realized I needed to refocus my sights on new goals if I wanted to again be productive in my life. I decided to learn game development, and put all my efforts into this new career. After many months of learning and training I began work on a horror game, which is one of my favorite genres of gaming.

During the early development I lost my father, and decided to name the game and hero after my father's middle name, and nickname, George. Three months later I lost my oldest son, Tommy, and needed to take time off to heal and cope with the losses I had experienced.

With renewed focus, and a clear understanding of the need to make the most out of the life we have, I worked even harder to make my vision for George: A Horror Story come true. Knowing that nothing is promised in this life, and there are no rewards without risk, I have put everything I can into Mug Ugly Games in effort to make quality games, and become a success in this new career.
